October 9 - October 11

Event Navigation

AIMS: On behalf of the conference advisory board, it is our pleasure to extend a cordial welcome to you to be part of the 12th International Conference. The conference is jointly organised by OTS Academy and a host of international partners. If you are ready, please feel to register for the conference here.

We aim to provide a forum for academics, emerging researchers, policymakers, industry practitioners, marketing professionals, and destination managers to discuss the latest sustainability issues and challenges in tourism in an era of uncertainty due to climate change and Covid-19. What should the industry do to safeguard the health and other concerns of tourists? Should the industry make use of the ‘usual’ approach to business in the ‘new’ normality? The Conference aims to bring together leading academics, researchers, and industry experts to exchange and share their views on the current situation facing tourism.

SUBMISSIONS: If you would like to present a paper at the 12th International Conference we ask that you submit an abstract for consideration by our Scientific Committee. We welcome abstracts of no more than 250 words with 5-6 keywords. References should use the Harvard system and are excluded from your word count. Please note, we can only accept submissions in word format. If needed, an abstract template can be downloaded HERE. Please submit your abstract when you register for the conference.

PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES: All papers will be considered for publication in a special issue of the Journal On Tourism & Sustainability (JOTS}

JOTS is dedicated to supporting the rapidly expanding area of tourism development research. Our primary focus is to advance critical thinking on tourism as a catalyst for sustainable development. It is a peer-reviewed journal aiming to publish original research from a multidisciplinary perspective. The Journal is published by OTS Academy based in Oxford, UK. We welcome theoretical, conceptual and empirical research that explores the relationship between tourism and development.

Additional publication opportunities (SCOPUS Indexed) will be added shortly.
